Koriand'r was the middle child of three royal children in the alien world Tamaran. After betraying her planet, Komand'r (Blackfire) traded in her younger sister to the Citadel where she endured six years of torture, before escaping to Earth, where she was met by a man in a red helmet by the name of "Red Hood." She was then recruited in his team of "Outlaws" acting as their powerhouse. After numerous missions with the Outlaws, she had a brief team up with the new Batman, Dick Grayson. The two would have multiple team ups, before she was formally asked to join Dick's squad in the "Titans." After years of working together, they eventually started dating, even getting married and having a young daughter, Mar'i Grayson.
