I prefer Garth to Kaldur/Jackson at least Garth can have fun with Wally, Donna Dick and Roy. It's just Kaldur is too serious for Dick's team. Tim's team is the serious team. There's a limit of one super serious character or super silly character in each line up. Bart is Tim's goofball and Roy is Dick's super serious.
It didn't really bug me on Kaldur's personality. Most of Kaldur-ahm was based on Garth the low tempered, calm attitude almost pacifist, his affection for Tula, his bromance with Roy, It bothered me that he got replaced because he wasn't a minority Kaldur wasn't really that much of his own character in my opinion the thing though that intrigues me about him though is his connection to Black Manta. I think Geoff Johns did a great job with the character though in Brightest Day the Jackson Hyde version he was more of his own character.
What really bugs me is why would you want to lessen Barry's sacrifice by reversing his death in Crisis, same with bringing Kara back shoving Linda who was more interesting out the door. That's the whole issue I have with the ending of the DC Universe Post-Crisis continuity (along with Connor Kent's very existence because of kryptonian DNA being near impossible to replicate.) it's like DC doesn't want anyone to die anymore along with other issues I have in the DCnu mostly about Alan Scott
I personally prefer Barry alive I think The Founding 7 is more iconic with Barry as the founding Flash. Wally is with Grayson and the Titans, my problem with DCnU is the lack of consistency, extended amount of time on following things up (Garth mention in RHATO#1 never again mentioned again). Missing characters, and overall I think they messed up when they didn't completely reboot the DC multiverse trying to keep things that happened in the pre-52 in the new52 it doesn't work.. Its one thing to recreate stories its another thing to pretend like a huge event like Blackest night happened in the past.
Nice I agree that Garth should of been Aqualad from the 1st season, there are so many characters in the Grayson generation to use that are diverse and who have a possible mentor role. (Mal Duncan, Karen Beecher, Starfire (Orange?), Hotspot. I hate that they sidelined Garth even in the Flashpoint movie :/ but I do like Jackson and think he works best as possibly Tim's Aqualad? but Garth stays Grayson's. Hopefully DCnU remembers that. Great pic By The Way.
Jackson would have been but Lorena Marquez is Tim's official "aqua" member as A quagirl Mia Dearden is his Speedy Bart his KF and Cassie as Wonder girl with M'gann being replaced by Super girl or a 16 year old Chris Kent as Superboy for Tim's team because Miss Martian was effectively Grayson's Super girl but with shapshifting in place of heat vision for my canon.
I'm surprised if you met people who prefer Garth, maybe among comic followers, and readers, Garth lacks media showings though (One episode of action on BBATB, and YJ, Major character redesign in TT, and Flashpoint Movie story was changed) :/ Donna has DCUO, Wally JL, JL Unlimited, TT, YJ. Roy is comes off similar to Grayson (Instant appeal).
Actually seen people say Kaldur would stomp Tempest. Usually happens in the animated department, Fandom logic it happened in this movie, must be canon, I know your probably a big Batman guy but his showings are horrible some times.
